At GLAAD, I led organization-wide creative direction across campaigns, digital, social, and large-scale cultural moments, shaping how the brand showed up visually and emotionally in the world.


I was brought in to bring greater clarity and cohesion to the brand, building on an existing foundation while evolving how it expressed itself across channels. I established and led the internal Creative Studio, elevating output quality and aligning teams around a more unified creative direction.


The work focused on translating ideas into image-driven storytelling that builds desire and emotional connection, moving between editorial storytelling, cultural commentary, and large-scale campaigns.


Across integrated campaigns and high-visibility initiatives, including national out-of-home programs and the GLAAD Media Awards, I redefined the brand's visual language and overall experience. These projects focused on work that felt intentional, modern, and culturally relevant, balancing clarity with emotion and concept with execution.


I also developed new approaches to rapid-response creative, allowing the brand to participate in real-time cultural conversations with work that felt considered rather than reactive. This shift significantly increased engagement and positioned GLAAD as a leading voice in culture.


Alongside campaign work, I led discovery and strategy for GLAAD’s first formal Brand Guidelines, creating a foundation for long-term visual consistency and brand evolution - which is still used by the GLAAD creative team today.

SELECTED WORKS:

025/2024Glaad Media Awards ShowFor the 35th and 36th GLAAD Media Awards, I led end-to-end creative direction for GLAAD’s flagship event, with a deeper focus on redefining the experience. The visual strategy intentionally moved the show away from a convention-style, blue-heavy look toward a clean, polished awards-show aesthetic designed to stand alongside major broadcasts such as the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. My scope spanned all visual and experiential touchpoints—brand identity, broadcast graphics, run of show assets, on-screen visuals, AV and lighting direction, stage and signage systems, partner installations, table design and room styling, step-and-repeat environments, after-party design, and all marketing and social campaign materials. Now streaming on Hulu, the show generates millions of media impressions annually driven by high-profile talent attendance. The refreshed creative direction resulted in significantly more stage and IRL photography over the past two years than the previous five combined, alongside smoother production workflows, stronger talent engagement, and increased live-stream viewership—positioning the Media Awards as a contemporary cultural platform rather than a traditional advocacy event.
2025One Story, One Future.360 CampaignOne Story, One Future is GLAAD’s 2025 PRIDE campaign, conceived as a national out-of-home initiative designed to reach beyond GLAAD’s core audience and engage the broader “movable middle.” The work draws from a creative strategy called Friction &#38;amp; Flow—the belief that meaningful change emerges through moments of tension followed by release. Using bold, typographic messaging without imagery, the campaign creates subtle disruption in public space, inviting pause, reflection, and a shift in perspective. In partnership with OUTFRONT, the campaign ran across thousands of placements nationwide, with emphasis on Southern and Midwestern markets, alongside key East and West Coast locations, including the MTA. The work positions LGBTQ equality as a shared future, not a niche cause.

202540 Years of Changing Tomorrow360 CamapaignFor GLAAD’s 40th anniversary, I led creative direction and strategy for 40 Years of Changing Tomorrow, a multi-platform storytelling initiative designed to honor GLAAD’s legacy while positioning the organization for its future. The work focused on translating four decades of advocacy, cultural impact, and media accountability into a cohesive narrative system spanning campaign identity, video, editorial content, digital experiences, and social storytelling. I guided the project from early concept and archival discovery through execution, shaping how historical moments, cultural shifts, and contemporary voices were woven together into a forward-looking story. The result was a unified anniversary platform that balanced credibility with momentum—reinforcing GLAAD’s authority, clarifying its evolution, and framing the next chapter with confidence rather than nostalgia.
2025/2024
Dímelo - Visual Identity &#38;amp; Series EvolutionFor GLAAD’s DÍMELO series, I led the visual identity and creative evolution of a GLAAD-produced content platform centered on Latine voices, culture, and storytelling. I designed the original branding as a Graphic Designer, establishing a distinct visual language rooted in cultural specificity and editorial clarity, and later returned as Creative Director to evolve the identity for Season 2. This evolution focused on refinement rather than reinvention—strengthening the system for scalability across video, social, and digital distribution while preserving the integrity of the original concept. The project reflects long-term creative ownership and earned trust, demonstrating how a culturally grounded identity can grow in sophistication and impact alongside the platform itself.

2025/2024Rapid Response / Political / Editorial CreativeFor GLAAD’s Rapid Response, Political, and Editorial Creative, I led creative direction and built proactive systems to support high-speed response during political and cultural flashpoints. I prioritized advance creative development—designing and resourcing modular assets ahead of time—to create space for more impactful work when moments mattered most, and intentionally invested in higher-quality creative to ensure visibility amid volatile news cycles. This approach drove over 300% increased engagement across news-driven assets, with content organically amplified by several political figures on their owned social platforms. Reporting- and policy-led creative became the #2 highest-engaging content category, second only to celebrity content, shifting GLAAD’s rapid response from urgency-driven output to disciplined, brand-led editorial impact.

2025GLAAD Brand Guidelines &#38;amp; Visual SystemOverviewLed the development of GLAAD’s first formal Brand Guidelines, with a focus on creating a unified visual system to replace fragmented execution across departments, vendors, and campaigns. The project established a clear foundation for how GLAAD shows up publicly—designed to scale across advocacy, media accountability, research, events, and rapid response.

Special Collaboration;&#38;nbsp; SebastiánOversaw art direction for still portrait photography of the featured artist with the 1:1 Patrón bottle, alongside product photography of the Heritage Tin and bottle used across digital and print. Defined the visual mood and photographic approach, assembled and directed photographers, editors, and set designers, and ensured the still imagery integrated seamlessly with the broader campaign and short film introducing the tin.

Q3 + Holiday Cocktail RefreshCreative Direction, Art DirectionDeveloped the art direction for a holiday cocktail refresh for Patrón, redefining the visual language for seasonal social and digital content across fall and winter. Drawing inspiration from surrealist still-life oil paintings by Mexican and Mexico-based artists, including Frida Kahlo, the concept centered on rich, symbolic tabletop scenes that emphasized togetherness, celebration, and gathering moments tied to Halloween, Día de los Muertos, and the holiday gifting period. This creative direction was designed to inform future fall/winter content, with final execution completed after the conclusion of my contract.

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Grow Marketing in San Francisco reached out to me because they needed a graphics person ASAP to make Barbie’s Malibu Dream House come to life. I was in charge of every, single, piece of graphics in this activation, from conception to production. This includes large scale graphics, like the tennis court and Barbie’s “vision board” pictured above - all the way down to the little guys like the plaques in Barbie’s closet, keychains for the guests, and my favorite, Barbie’s custom “U.S. COMMANDER” patches used for her spacesuit. This was the most successful activation that Airbnb has ( still ) ever done; with over 3,400 PR hits globally, 3 TV broadcasts - ET, Univision, TODAY Show + 700 million (could be more!) impressions

 &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Role: Art Direction, Concepts, Comping, On-Set Drection 
 When Teavana was absorbed by Starbucks, customers were upset. They missed the loose-leaf tea that Teavana was known for, and missed the community that it cultivated. Starbucks wanted us to help them re-connect with their audience through the digital space. In social, it was our initiative to give people the joy they were missing from the brick and mortar experiences while selling the new Teavana Sachets, which were only available in grocery stores. Creating a unique personality for each flavor, we developed a campaign, would be able to reach all different kinds of folks and connect them in a new, online community. This social media campaign fed into the larger national campaign and makeover, with bumper ads, website re-design and longer commercials.

: Art DirectorFor the 2021 special collaboration between Gatorade, the Muhammad Ali Estate, and Champion, I worked on the creative execution of a limited-edition, direct-to-consumer merch collection built around global sports fandom. The launch was a fully digital campaign, encompassing limited-edition bottle design, product and lifestyle photography, social-first assets, and an influencer-driven TikTok challenge featuring creators across sport and culture. The work blended legacy storytelling with contemporary digital distribution, driving engagement through influencer-made content and social participation while supporting DTC sales through Gatorade’s platform.

: Art Director, Graphic Designer, Web Design ux/ui, Brand Design Gilded Fox is a Salon in NW Portland that needed a branding re-fresh to set them apart, but maintain a professional trust. I worked directly with the owner to learn more about her history, interests, goals, passions and needs to deliver something close to her.
I re-worked existing graphics to design every piece of branding you see here, both irl and online, resulting in a head-to-toe re-fresh. This concept leaned heavily on heritage storytelling by combining the real-life handwriting of the clients grandmother (who the salon was named after) and my own work - with hints of Old-Italian flair.
